The Rothko Chapel will present an in-person and live-streamed event for the 2023 Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Observance in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Gordon Parks Foundation: “Images & Words: Media’s Influence on the Struggle for Civil Rights” on Sunday, January 15, 2023.
The MLK Jr. Dream Catcher Bike Ride is a 20-mile celebratory ride around Houston, visiting several of the sites that Dr. King visited on his last visit to Houston.
The 45th Annual MLK Parade and Festival Downtown and the 29th Annual MLK Day Parade Midtown will both take place on Monday, January 16.
Children’s Museum Houston will host the 27th Annual MLK Day Celebration, sponsored by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee on Saturday, January 14.
