This event will feature Harvard Law School William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Law emeritus Mark Tushnet in an interview with University of Virginia School of Law Dean Risa Goluboff. Professor Tushnet and Dean Goluboff will discuss Professor Tushnet's book on the Hughes-era United States Supreme Court, "The Hughes Court: From Progressivism to Pluralism, 1930 to 1941."

    Join the Law Library of Congress and the American Inns of Court for “Law in the time of COVID-19: The Legal Complexities of the COVID-19 Pandemic.” This panel discussion, featuring British and American lawyers and judges, will address the tension between public health and personal autonomy, constitutional challenges to government mandated vaccination, masking and social distancing requirements, federalism issues arising from differing federal, state and local requirements or restrictions, the impact of COVID-19 on the administration of justice, and legal issues in the workplace, caused by COVID-19 in both the United Kingdom and the United States.
