Houston Bar Association LegalLine - Free legal advice for citizens of Harris County, Texas, on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Instructions on signing up are available here.
Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program - Free legal aid for low-income residents of Harris County, Texas. Visit the HVL website or call 713-228-0735 for more information.
Earl Carl Institute for Legal & Social Policy, Inc. - Assistance with various issues, including preventing loss of houses and land; juvenile justice; juvenile records sealing, expunctions, and nondisclosures; and proving innocence in criminal matters.
Beacon Law - Aid for homeless Houstonians with housing and economic legal matters. Call 713-220-9780 for appointment information.

Aid to Victims of Domestic Violence (AVDA) - Services include victim advocacy, victim safety, legal advocacy, counseling services, battering intervention, and more.

Texas FreeLegalAnswers.org - A virtual legal advice clinic. Qualifying users post their civil legal question to the website, and are then contacted by email when their question is answered.

TexasLawHelp.org Live Chat - You can chat with a live person from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Central, Monday through Wednesday. Depending on your level of income, you might qualify for free legal advice from a licensed staff attorney.

Lone Star Legal Aid - Legal services for low-income residents of Southeastern Texas in civil, non-criminal matters. Visit the LSLA website for eligibility requirements and to apply for services.

Houston Lawyer Referral Service - Non-profit referral service that connects individuals in the Houston metropolitan area with experienced attorneys who practice in the area of law appropriate for the legal need. They currently only make referrals through the automated referral system on their website.
Harris County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service - Referrals to local attorneys who specialize in a variety of practice areas. Call 713-236-8000 or visit their website to get a referral by email.

Katy Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service - Referrals to attorneys in the Katy and West Houston area.

State Bar of Texas Lawyer Referral & Information Services - Referrals to attorneys throughout the State of Texas; also includes tips for saving money when hiring a lawyer and FAQs.
